Description
With a sharp pain in her back Shepard woke up early in the morning.
Apparently she had spent the whole night in this uncomfortable position.
When Kayla sat up, she saw a small package with a note on it.
The note was from her mother and said that the content of the package had been repaired.
Kayla opened the package and saw the damaged locket that was found in the remains of her armor.
The locket looked almost like new and could be opened easily.
The moment the picture inside showed, was more than a year ago, but Kayla could remember every detail.
It was one of those rare moments during which everything seemed unimportant and the time seemed to stand still.
A fleeting moment of true happiness.
After Kayla read the engraving, she felt emptiness in her heart.
She didn’t regard the words as a sign of hope and confidence,
rather than a sign of farewell.
