On the return flight, after the meeting with Admiral Hackett, Kayla thought about their encounters with Anderson.
She tried to push aside her first thought of his last moments on the Citadel.
Instead she tried to remember their first encounter.
It was a few weeks after Shepard could defeat an attack on Elysium.
She was thereafter deployed for some weeks on earth.
Many said that she was a heroine, but Kayla was glad when the dust had settled, she hated being the centre of attention.
After that Kayla was for a time engaged in training flights.
When she returned from her last flight, she was already expected by an unknown officer.
He introduced himself as Commander Anderson.
Due to their performance on Elysium the Alliance submitted Shepard the offer to join the Special Forces and participate in the N7 program.
Kayla hesitated for a moment. But after a long talk with Anderson she realized the possibilities and agreed.
Although the next encounter of Anderson and Shepard was aboard the Normandy,
Kayla experienced that Anderson had always keep an eye on her career.
